CH&CO is an independent hospitality caterer employing more than 6,200 people with a turnover of £300m, and operating at over 750 locations across the UK and Ireland.
NexusBond was hired to create a new internal portal to be used by thousands of CH&CO employees and contractors to ensure that have the most up to date news and information on a range of services and notices that are key to CH&CO’s operations.
Part of the scope of work included a supplier’s map – an interactive map of the UK which shows the thousands of suppliers that CH&CO work with. This map is key for CH&CO’s contractors to find and source the best ingredients and supplies required. An integration with Google Maps API and an advanced search functionality, allowing users to search by postcode and supplier type lead to the successful completion of this task. An easy administration panel was also added allowing CH&CO employees to add and remove suppliers as needed swiftly and easily. A bulk CSV upload option was also configured.
File and content management was key to the success of this project and NexusBond provided a clear route to organising and sorting the various content required around the site. Many sections such as Market Overview or Supplier Stories are constantly updated on a monthly or weekly basis, and so it was important that NexusBond provided a clear file and content management system to allow CH&CO to curate and oversee their content easily and quickly.
